Flower
crabs mating Portunus pelagicus Flower crabs are quite common on the sand and mudflats. We were lucky to come across this pair that was actually mating! The male crab is usually bluish while the female is brownish or greenish. Like other crabs, they can only mate when the female has just moulted. |
