Porter crab Family Dorippidae This porter crab was clinging to a leaf and swimming facing up towards the water surface. Porter crabs do this at night as at this time, their main worry would be predators below them in the water and not above! However, the crab quickly turned over and sank to the bottom with its leaf when it realised there was some danger from above.
