Stone crab Myomenippe hardwickii Stone crabs are common under rocks. They have green eyes circled with red. When a rock is overturned, these crabs just stay still while the flight of other crabs distract the disturber. Their large pincers are used to crush the shells of the clams and other creatures that they eat.
