Peacock
Sole Pardachirus pavoninus Flatfishes are adapted to bottom dwelling. As a larva, the fish has eyes on both sides of the head as most other fish do. As it develops, the larva starts to swim on one side and one of the eyes moves to the side facing up. The upperside of the fish is often patterned and coloured to blend in with the ground. |
