Sea snake
Lauticauda sp.

This dead sea snake was washed up on the shore. Sea snakes have a flattened tail to help them swim. They hunt fish and have highly toxic venom to catch these fast moving prey. However, like other snakes, sea snakes will not bite unless provoked. So do not disturb or handle sea snakes.
