Thorny sea cucumbers Cholochirus quandrangularis These sea cucumbers were also found clinging on to rocks and other hard surfaces with their tube feet. You can see the three rows of tube feet on the underside of this sea cucumber. It doesn't seem to be doing very well out of water. Fortunately, the extreme low tide lasts only a hour or so, and usually happens in the cool early morning or late evening.
